A good candle can take you places. Light a match and be transported.
Introducing our new candle collection! I've always been particularly sensitive and aware of how things smell no matter how subtle. I don't notice much about appearance, but I do know what things smell like. Just ask my husband, who can cut his hair, shave off his mustache and weeks go by before I notice. Change his cologne...now THAT gets my attention. It's like sleeping with a stranger. I'm the same way with other smells...I associate smells with places and memories. I want our products to evoke pleasant memories of people and places important to you. I hope you find one that does.
Our candles are the perfect natural soy blend wax and premium fragrances that insure a wonderful cold and hot "throw" of scent. They have cotton wicks, come in fully recyclable vessels and are hand poured with the utmost care in Lenexa, KS.
Heirloom Tomato & Petrichor: What to say about this scent besides that it's positively swoon-worthy? Ripe, supple, and bursting with juice, the scent of the Heirloom Tomato catapults me to memories of late summer picnics. It's the scent of freshly crushed tomato leaves blended with citrus on a base of green leaves and moss that intensifies the earthiness of the fragrance. All this combined with the uniqueness of petrichor, it captures something very unique. This fragrance evokes the atmospheric scent that follows a downpour of rain on dry earth with notes of patchouli, cypress, galbanum, and vetiver.
This candle comes in a beautifully colored recycled glass vessel. Once the candle is gone, you can use the vessel as the perfect dish atop your dresser or just as decoration. Weight: 10.0 oz. Burn time is at least 75 hours.
How to care for your candle:
To care for your candle and to make it last longer, follow these steps for hours of aromatic, transportive burn time:
Step 1: Let it Burn
When burning your scented candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the candle wax melts completely into liquid wax. We recommend using a candle snuffer or dipper when putting out your candle to ensure ash or smoke does not contaminate your candle’s melted or unmelted wax.
Step 2: Trim away the old
Ideally, we recommend using a wick trimmer to keep the candle wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the scented candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the melted wax. This will prevent the wax and fragrance from getting ruined. After each burn, make sure the candle wick is centered in the wax. This will ensure that the vessel does not overheat, as the wick and flame should never touch the vessel.
Step 3: Nurture the flame
Make sure to never leave a lit candle unattended or let the candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time. A lit candle should also only be placed on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.
