The latest addition to our specialty bar lineup is Castile soap. Castile soap is a traditional soap that is renowned for its gentleness on the skin. Simply put, castile soap is cold process soap made with 100% olive oil. Castile soap's renown for it's gentleness on the skin makes it an incredible bar. 
Most "Castile" soaps on the market are made with palm, coconut and olive oil.  Our Castile soap is made the traditional way with 100% olive oil (which is currently one of the most expensive oils used in soap).  It takes a year to cure properly, but it is worth the wait.  It is as simple and wonderful as soap can get. Everyone should try it at least once.
People with sensitive skin, allergies, or skin disorders including psoriasis and eczema frequently use Castile soap. This bar is unscented & contains NO color or mineral pigments to eliminate any sensitivity to fragrance oils or pigments.
Things to know about Castile soap:
  • For peak lather and performance, Castile soap needs to cure for 1 year. The bars you are buying were made more than a year ago.
  • Castile soap has small gentle lather.  Some consumers may associate large bubbles with cleansing ability (which is not accurate) and may not appreciate the smaller, gentle lather of Castile soap.
  • Effectiveness in hard water:  Because it is low lathering, Castile soap might not work as well in hard water.

In our handmade soap, the glycerin is retained in the bar, and combines with coconut, olive and other high quality oils to nourish your skin.

HARSH CHEMICALS ADDED

To create more lather without the glycerin, harsh chemicals are added such as SLS (causes skin irritation) and parabens (linked to cancer).

FREE OF HARSH CHEMICALS

Cold process soap has no need to add harsh chemicals. The result? Happy, healthy skin. You will feel the difference and never go back.
